Supporting Education in South Asia
We currently support 5 schools in city and rural areas with over 450 students attending. 6 other schools have been started which are now self-sufficient. All schools are open to everyone from all ethnic and religious backgrounds. In some schools the morning classes are able to cover part of the cost and the afternoon classes are from the slum areas who aren’t able to pay for schooling. It is our aim to set up a schools in needy areas and, over time, provide buildings so that the community can be self-sufficient. The schools follows the National Curriculum and achieve results well above the national averages. They are always staffed by qualified national teachers.
